City League Hosts Run-A-Thon Fundraiser to Support School Sports Programs in Charter Middle Schools

[ST. LOUIS, SEPTEMBER 4, 2023] – City League, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of youth through engagement in school sports, is thrilled to announce its upcoming Run-A-Thon fundraiser. This event is set to rally the community for a morning of fitness, fun, and fundraising to further City League’s goal of supporting charter middle schools in establishing sustainable sports and extracurricular programs.

Event Details:

– Date & Time: September 23rd from 9AM-10AM

– Location: St. Mary’s South Side High School 4701 S Grand Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63111

City League’s Run-A-Thon is a testament to the organization’s commitment to enhancing the lives of students through sports. This exciting event invites participants of all ages and fitness levels to join in and show their support for school sports.

The Run-A-Thon welcomes individuals, teams, community groups, and partner schools to come together and make a difference. Participants can run, jog, or walk as many laps as they can during the event, with each lap contributing to the fundraiser’s success.

Key Event Highlights:

Entertainment: The event will host DJ Tab as DJ, DSmoovee as emcee and The Bubble Bus for entertainment while participants complete laps around the track.

Silent Auction: From 9AM-10AM, a Silent Auction will take place for participants and supporters to place bids on items.

School Support: In addition to raising support for City League, the event invites partner schools to raise funding for their athletic programs to put towards league fees, coaching stipends, uniforms and equipment.

City League is calling on local businesses, sponsors, and community members to join hands in supporting this worthy cause. Sponsorship opportunities are available, allowing organizations to align their brand with a mission that positively impacts youth development.
